Green roof
We are building an Urban Garden at the Etievan Cultural Center! It will be located on the roof and in the surroundings of the Cultural Hall, occupying a total area of 150m2. For the construction of the first 50m2, we have the support of Eurofarma, through the "Programa Corrente do Bem" of the company's Social Responsibility sector.
Why an urban garden?
The project's proposal is to open a space for the community of families in Vila Clementino to learn to relate to the culture of food, aromatic and medicinal herbs in a practical way. It is also a possibility for us to observe and gain self- awareness, by cultivating a deep relationship with nature and ourselves.
Activities
We will offer hands-on courses for all ages on:
Soil biodynamics
Preparation and handling of aerobic and earthworm compost (for houses or apartments)
Growing an urban family garden
What are PANCS
Preparation of recipes with products from the garden
Pest management
Vertical crops
Irrigation systems
Fruits
And many other topics!
